<p>Process for determining the sensitivity of a microorganism to an antibiotic, which prevents the development of a biofilm, comprises introducing a magnetic/magnetizable particle to a liquid culture medium for the development of the microorganism; inoculating the medium with the microorganism; and adding antibiotic of a determined concentration in the medium, maintaining the medium, and determining the sensitivity of the microorganism to the antibiotic in the absence of biofilm, where the absence of movement of the particle indicates the insensitivity of the microorganism to the antibiotic. Process for determining the sensitivity of a microorganism to an antibiotic, which prevents the development of a biofilm, comprises introducing a magnetic or magnetizable particle to a liquid culture medium for the development of the microorganism, where the particle is floating on the surface of the culture medium or resting on a surface immersed in the culture medium; inoculating the medium with the microorganism; and adding antibiotic of a determined concentration in the medium, maintaining the culture medium in conditions allowing the development of microorganism, and determining the sensitivity of the microorganism to the antibiotic in the absence of biofilm by applying a magnetic field to move a particle on the surface immersed in the culture medium or on the surface of the culture medium, where the absence of movement of the particle indicates the insensitivity of the microorganism to the antibiotic.</p> |
