PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for vibration-compacting a sand ground capable of reducing construction cost by simultaneously improving the sand ground in a wide range by rod compaction method. SOLUTION: This device for vibration-compacting a sand ground is formed in a generally box shape. A plurality of rods 18 are vertically fixed to the lower surface of the device at specified intervals. A rod mounting beam 16 to which a vibro-hammer 17 is secured is installed at the upper surface center part of the device. The vibro-hammer 17 is so connected to the main wire rope 14 of a crawler crane 10 as to be vertically moved integrally with the rod mounting beam 16 and the rod 18. The device also comprises a box metal holding body 19 allowing the vertical movement of the rod 18 by maintaining the interval between the rods 18 constant. Each rod 18 is loosely fitted to the loose-insertion hole 19a of each rod 18 formed on the holding body 19. The holding body 19 is connected to the auxiliary wire rope 15 of the crawler crane 10.
