PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for electrostatic charge image development in which an external additive is hardly buried even if the number of sheets of output images increases and with which a high-quality image can stably be obtained. SOLUTION: The toner for electrostatic charge image development is obtained by externally adding at least one kind of inorganic particle to toner particles including a binder resin and a colorant, wherein a silica particle is included as the inorganic particle, and when peak area ratios of Si to C, by XPS measurement, in the unused toner, the toner on an unfixed image after the output of 10,000 sheets of images at a low image density of 1%, and the toner on an unfixed image after the output of 10,000 sheets of images at a high image density of 80% are represented by (Sib/Cb), (SiL/CL) and (SiH/CH), respectively, the relationships of 1.2≤(Sib/Cb)/(SiL/CL)≤3.0 and 1.0≤(SiH/CH)/(SiL/CL)≤1.4 are satisfied.
