A composition for promoting the blood circulation is provided to promote the blood circulation by expanding the blood vessel and to inhibit the aging of the blood vessel. A composition for promoting the blood circulation contains an extract of the fruit of insam (ginseng) as an effective ingredient. Preferably the extract of the fruit of insam is prepared by adding ethanol to the dried one of insam fruit to reflux it for extraction, and filtering and concentrating the obtained extract; and removing the oil-soluble component, adding butanol to it to extract it, and concentrating the obtained extract.
