PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner which is adaptable to a low-temperature fixing system, has good offset resistance, does not soil a fixing device and an image and can form high-quality images with good sharpness over a long period of time, and to provide a developer, a toner-containing container, a process cartridge, an image forming apparatus and an image forming method using the toner. SOLUTION: The toner includes at least a binder resin, a release agent and a fixing aid, wherein the binder resin includes a polyester resin, this polyester resin is obtained by condensation polymerization of an alcohol component including≥65 mol% of 1,2-propanediol in a dihydric alcohol component and a carboxylic acid component including purified rosin, the polyester resin has a softening point of 80 to <160°C, and the fixing aid has a melting point of 50 to <150°C and is included in a crystal domain state in the toner.
