FIELD: chemistry; technological processes. ^ SUBSTANCE: cartridge (20) for purifying drinking water consists of a case (22), inlet opening (24) for letting water into the cartridge, outlet opening for letting out water from the cartridge and material for primary purification of water. Cartridge (20) for purifying water can have material for primary purification of water, which is held inside the hollow medullary region of the material for primary purification by a permeable holder, which covers the outlet opening. The primary purification material and secondary purification material are directly linked, and the above mentioned holder is in direct contact with the material for secondary purification and projects into it by a length of at least 2 mm.
