An advertisement system using a mash-up map and a method thereof are provided to track exposure period, the number of times an advertisement is exposed, the number of times a user clicks the advertisement, the number of times the advertisement is printed and the number of times the advertisement is referred even after referring the advertisement. A map advertisement system comprises the followings: an advertisement managing part(110) which generates an advertisement layer and an advertisement layer identifier based on the advertisement-information including the location information received from an advertiser`s terminal; a base map providing part(130) which offers a base map layer capable of providing geometrical information on-line; and a mesh-up map advertisement part which generates mesh up map data by mixing the advertisement layer with the base map layer based on the location information.
