<p>A method and an apparatus for manufacturing SMO(Sludge Molten Ore) using Fe-containing sludge are provided to recycle the waste by applying direct heat to the sludge, melting/quenching the sludge, thereby controlling the amounts of the sludge and controlling the size of the particles. A method for manufacturing SMO(Sludge Molten Ore) using Fe-containing sludge comprises the steps of: injecting a steel sludge in a hopper(S1); compressing the Fe-containing sludge by a compressor(S5); melting the Fe-containing sludge in a furnace(S6); quenching the Fe-containing sludge by a cooling device(S7); and separating SMO having a more than predetermined grain size. Steel dust is added(S2). The steel dust and the steel sludge are mixed.</p> |
