<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress charging/discharging caused by the excessive power of a battery. <P>SOLUTION: In a shift state or a slip state (S130, S140), averaging is operated to a power deviation Pbd calculated by subtracting estimated power Pm1* and Pm2* inputted to and outputted from motors MG1 and MG2 from an input/output power Pbat inputted to and outputted from a battery by using a value T2 smaller than a value T1 in a normal time as a time constant Tc of the averaging (S260, S170), and input/output permission limits Winf and Woutf are set based on input/output limits Win and Wout of the battery (S180).
