A container is disclosed having a universal bracket system that allows attachment of the container to a plurality of upstanding outdoor supports including posts, angle iron, and signs supported in cylindrical frameworks. In the preferred embodiment, the container has a box with a lid pivotally attached thereto. The box has a bracket system comprised of an upper bracket, a central bracket and a lower bracket which have complementary geometric relationships that facilitate attachment to the multiple structures.
