PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal search system and a mobile terminal search method capable of determining whether mobile terminal device search is performed by a user or a stranger so as to prevent the stranger from illegally using the mobile terminal device. SOLUTION: A determination part 47 of a mobile communication center 4 determines whether or not a searcher is the user based on a lock setting at a state management part 43 or each setting state of communication stop setting. When the searcher is the user, the position information of the mobile terminal device (position information positioned by a GPS function) is superposed on a high-precision map, and transmitted to a user's PC. When the searcher is the stranger, a scale of the map is lowered, and the position information of a base station communicating with the mobile terminal device is superposed on the map whose scale has been lowered, and transmitted to a stranger's PC.
