PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor improved in the strength and durability of a scroll member. SOLUTION: This scroll compressor has the scroll member having a base and a substantially spiral-shaped lap. The lap defines a part of a compression space by extending from the base.
