PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable information device having excellent impact resistance and a waterproof structure having excellent maintenance performance. SOLUTION: The portable information device 1 includes a liquid crystal display 10 and a touch panel 12 and has a spacer 20 positioning the liquid crystal display 10 and the touch panel, with a certain interval. The portable information device further includes: a first holding frame 30 holding an assembled body 70 from the touch panel 12 side; a second holing frame 40 holding the assembled body 70 from the liquid crystal display side; a first elastic member 50 disposed along the peripheral edge part of the touch panel 12 between the touch panel 12 and the first holding frame 30; and a second elastic member 60 disposed between the liquid crystal display 10 and the second holding frame 40. The first elastic member 50 closely seals a space between the first holding frame 30 and the touch panel 12 in a compression state, and the second elastic member 60 buffers the force transmitted from the second holding frame 40 to the liquid crystal display 10.
