摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optimally perform charging-stop control to each of a plural types of secondary battery with different performances, and thereby to expect a charging operation in safety and maximal performance of the secondary battery. SOLUTION: A charging-time threshold value stored in an EEPROM 54 is determined as unsupported according to the performance of the secondary battery 60 when the time in a charging timer exceeds the threshold value before the secondary battery 60 is fully charged, and a charging mode is switched from a fast charging mode to a small-current charging mode for continuous charging operation. Accordingly, when the secondary battery 60 reaches a full-charging level by the small-current charging mode, a new charging time threshold value is processed on the basis of the present measuring value in the charging timer to update the value in the EEPROM 54.
