METHOD OF OPERATING A MEDICAL NAVIGATION SYSTEM

A method of operating a medical navigation system is provided to control the length of width of a medical tool virtually and display information of tool and image data for medical treatment. An image data for medical treatment is stored in a medical navigation system equipped with display for image data for medical treatment. A medical tool is detected by the medical navigation system and information of the tip of the medical tool is detected by the medical navigation system. A method of operating a medical navigation system is comprised of step: adding a virtual extension line to the endpoint; tracking movement of the medical tool and displaying the medical image data and the extension line through the monitor.
