PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain banding while allowing an optical scanner for making a plurality of beams perform scanning by a single deflector to have a function to correct the curvature of a scanning line. SOLUTION: By utilizing an effect that the amplitude of the rocking of the reflected beam caused by resonance by vibration by the reflecting mirror depends on the reflecting angle of a laser beam, the reflecting mirrors 22C and 22K whose reflecting angle is so large that the amplitude of the rocking of the beam easily gets large are made thicker than the mirrors 22Y and 22M whose reflecting angle is small. In the case of guiding the laser beams AY, AM, AC and AK to a plurality of photoreceptors 24Y, 24M, 24C and 24K from a single polygon mirror 14, the sensitivity difference of the rocking of the reflected beam to the resonance of the mirror caused by a situation that the layout of the optical paths of a plurality of beams is different and the reflecting angles of a plurality of reflecting mirrors having the same function are different is cancelled and the banding is restrained.
