The arrangement consists of several housing parts that are connected together so that at least one channel (3) carrying a fluid to be cooled and a channel for carrying a cooling fluid are arranged in heat exchanging contact. At least one part has ribs (8) extending into the channel carrying the fluid to be cooled that are interrupted in the main flow direction of the fluid to be cooled. The ribs have a different separation distance at least near the inlet (5).
