A call processing method in a mobile communication system is provided to minimize the possibility of call connection failure due to the loss of a CAM(Channel Assignment Message) by repetitively transmitting the CAM at both a wired and a wireless section. If a mobile terminal transmits a call attempt message through an access channel(S201), this message is delivered to a BSC(Base Station Controller) through a BTS(Base Transceiver Station)(S203). The BSC makes a call connection request to an MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(S205). The MSC executes authentication for the mobile terminal(S207), and requests the BSC to assign resources(S209). The BSC assigns resources according to the MSC's request(S211), and sends a channel assignment request to the BTS(S213). Based on the BSC's channel assignment request, the BTS assigns a channel to the mobile terminal(S215). After executing a service setup process(S217), the BTS transmits the configuration information of the assigned channel to the BSC(S219). The BTS and the BSC confirm a traffic path by exchanging idle frames(S221). Then the BSC transmits a CAM to the BTS(S223). The BTS delivers the CAM to the mobile terminal(S225). In response to the CAM, the mobile terminal transmits a response message to the BTS(S227). At this moment, if the response message is not received from the mobile terminal, the BTS judges that the CAM has been lost at a wired or wireless section. In this case, the BTS transmits the CAM to the mobile terminal again.
|
