PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security monitoring system by a robot maintaining security and continuity of behavior information in daily life. SOLUTION: In an at-home mode, the robot acquires indoor behavior information of a monitored person, and executes security operation according to the acquired behavior information (S1). When confirming that the monitored person goes out by voice recognition, a mode enters a home security mode, and the robot performs return registration (registration of a return time) and absence registration (registration of a leaving time, a predicted return time, and a place-to-go or the like) by the voice recognition, and changes over the mode to the at-home mode. In the home security mode, when the person leaves without permission or in excess of the set time, the mode enters an anxiety mode (S2-S4), In the anxiety mode, the robot executes security processing of the monitored person (in embodiment, the overtime absence is reported to a preset contact destination) (S5-S8).
