PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for manufacturing a coating object, capable of maintaining a drying rate faster than that at least in a natural seasoning while suppressing occurrence of even a few drying spot, and improving the flatness and the productivity. SOLUTION: A drying zone in which an air supply port is arranged at a right-hand side plate and a drying zone in which an air supply port is arranged at a left-hand side plate are arranged alternately even number by even number in a conveying direction of a coating film. A conveying distance of the coating film from a coating section of the coating apparatus to a carrying-in port of the first drying zone ranges between 0.2 and 0.8 m, and a pressure difference between a pressure in the drying zone and a pressure outside the drying zone ranges between -2 to 2 Pa.
