PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of installing programs on a disk for optimization. SOLUTION: This method comprises steps of: (1) creating a plurality of files containing parts to be related to a disk-intensive operation, (2) determining an order of reading the disk-intensive section during the disk-intensive operation, (3) creating a load sequence list indicating the order of reading the disk-intensive section during the disk-intensive operation, (4) storing the plurality of files, the load sequence list, and installation programs on the installation disk, (5) installing the plurality of files and the load sequence list from the installation disk to a logical disk, (6) identifying at least one group of continuous free clusters on the logical disk after installing them on the logical disk, and relocating the disk-intensive section in the order indicated by the load sequence list for optimization of the disk-intensive section.
