<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that prevents deterioration in image density, while suppressing crushing of image, without requiring recording material of a plurality of colors. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming process control part 64 increases the contrast for an image compared to other cases, when density for a reference image is acquired by a density sensor 20 and a density determining part 70, at the same time a number of times light is emitted for each LED is counted by a counter 62, determination as to whether the density of the reference image is lower than a density threshold is made, by comparing the density of the reference image and the density threshold by the density determining part 70, determination is made of whether the number of times light is emitted exceeds the light-emitting number of times threshold, and at least one condition is satisfied from among the conditions that the density of the reference image is lower than the density threshold and the condition that the light-emitting number of times exceeds the light-emitting number of times threshold. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
