<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively use the heat of a power module generating heat, for a catalyst warming machine. <P>SOLUTION: When an engine starts (S1000: YES), an ECU executes a program including a step (S1100) for detecting a catalyst temperature T; a step (S1300) for, when it is decided that catalyst heating-up is necessary (S1200: YES), outputting a command signal for driving a power module installed so as to be brought into contact with a catalyst outer surface, and having thermal resistivity, with low efficiency; and a step (S1400) for outputting a valve closing command signal to the switching valve of a cooling system so that cooling water can be prevented from flowing to cooling water piping installed between the power module and an electric component having low thermal resistivity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
