PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for concentrating oxygen capable of efficiently supplying a highly concentrated oxygen without using a pressure reducing pump. SOLUTION: The apparatus is composed of a plurality of oxygen pump cells 11 that are integrated, wherein each of the oxygen pump cells 11 is formed from oxygen pump elements 1 composed of a solid electrolyte having oxygen ion conductivity, a rod heater 5 for heating the oxygen pump elements 1, and a casing 2 which has a tubular shape having as the center the longitudinal centerline of the heater 5 and on the wall of which the oxygen pump elements are disposed. Thereby a highly concentrated oxygen can be supplied in large quantities without using a pressure reducing pump because oxygen pump elements 1 are uniformly heated from the center by the heater 5, a plurality of oxygen pump cells 11 are easily integrated because they each have a tubular shape, and when integrated the oxygen pump elements can be heated further at high densities and uniformly.
