A power transmission apparatus of a hybrid vehicle is provided to improve transmission gear ratio by using two clutch units. A power transmission apparatus of a hybrid vehicle comprises a planetary gear(13), a drive motor(12), and a clutch(14). The planetary gear is installed in a transaxle housing(10) and has first and second planetary units(13a,13b). The motor has first and second motor units(12a,12b). The first motor unit transfers power to the first planetary gear unit. The second motor unit is connected with the second planetary gear unit to drive a drive shaft(15). The clutch includes first and second clutch units(14a,14b). The first clutch unit transfers power from an engine(11) and the first motor unit to the drive shaft. The second clutch unit is connected with the second motor unit and a second ring gear(13b-1) of the second planetary gear, and boosts torque of the first motor unit necessary to drive the vehicle at the beginning. The first motor unit connects with a first sun gear(13a-2). The second motor unit is connected with a first ring gear(13a-1) and a second ring gear(13b-1) according to operation of the first and second clutch units.
