A method for preparing a functional drink, and a functional drink prepared by the method are provided to obtain a functional drink useful for a diabetic by using an extract of Sasa borealis. A method for preparing a functional drink comprises the steps of collecting the rock water; (S1) mixing the rock water and the leaves and roots of Sasa borealis and boiling it in a double boiler to obtain an extract of Sasa borealis; (S2) mixing the obtained extract with Helianthus tuberosus Linne, Acanthopanacis Cortex, the edible shoots of a fatsia and pine needles; (S3) boiling it in a double boiler; and (S4) packaging the obtained one.
