PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a practical optical fiber distribution type gas measuring system using a gas sensor constituted, by solving the defect that a gas pipe is laid over a wide region and a distribution type gas sensor is required, in order to prevent an explosive accident but especially the distribution type gas sensor is difficult in the specification of a place and low in sensitivity. SOLUTION: Photonic band gap fibers or holey fibers are arranged to the intermediate part of the drop port of a ring resonator and an optical fiber Bragg grating or a waveguide Bragg grating, wherein the Bragg grating is drawn on a planar light waveguide so as to provide a gap. Since the transmissivity of these fibers is changed by the concentration of a gas, the gas can be detected. The resonance wavelength of the ring resonator and the reflecting wavelength of the Bragg grating are combined, and in addition, the photonic band gap fibers or the holey fibers are used to specify the reflecting wavelength and its quantity of reflected light, that is, the concentration of the gas at each sensor.
