<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst for treating exhaust gas, which is suitable for decomposing and removing organic compounds in exhaust gas, contains two or more deposited noble metals such as Pt and Pd, exhibits high catalytic activity and has excellent durability, and to provide a method for treating exhaust gas by using the catalyst for treating exhaust gas. <P>SOLUTION: The catalyst for treating exhaust gas contains a tungsten-containing inorganic oxide carrier and at least two noble metals which are deposited on the tungsten-containing inorganic oxide carrier and selected from Pt, Pd, Rh, Ru, Ir and Au. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
