<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device which reduces the occurrence of chatter noise, squeak noise, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device includes a liquid crystal display panel and a backlight disposed on the back of the liquid crystal display panel, and the backlight comprises a plurality of bar-shaped light sources provided in parallel within a plane facing the liquid crystal display panel and a base which supports respective bar-shaped light sources in their electrode parts through electrode metal fittings, and electrode metal fittings supporting the electrode parts of each bar-shaped light source are connected to a connection part extending in the direction where the bar-shaped light sources are provided in parallel, and connection parts are fixed to the base through at least an adhesive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
