PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform maintenance work such as washing of a pipe body and a check valve device and to easily perform disassembling/assembling work accompanying it by easily performing removal and assembling of the check valve device from the pipe body, in the front pressure closure type check valve device. SOLUTION: The check valve device (A) is provided with a valve element retaining body (5) attachable/detachable to connector pipes (1, 2) and provided with a valve seat (51); a valve rod (60); a valve element (6) having a valve head (61) provided on the valve rod (60) slidably attached while penetrating through the valve element retaining body (5); and a valve spring (7) for urging the valve element (6) in a direction that the valve head (61) closes the valve seat (51) of the valve element retaining body (5). On the valve element retaining body (5), a feed port (54) communicated with the valve seat (51) from the opposite side to the valve seat (51) in a circulation direction is provided.
