PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lift capable of enhancing safety by avoiding a risk associated with the retracting operation of a platform inside a vehicle body. SOLUTION: The lift comprises a lifting platform 30, a platform holder 10 for movably holding the lifting platform 30 in the longitudinal direction, a mechanism for lifting the platform holder 10 between a floor surface of a vehicle body and the grounded condition, a front side vehicle stop board 41 which is collapsibly connected to a front edge of the lifting platform 30, a rear side vehicle stop board 50 which is collapsibly connected to a rear end of the platform holder 10, and a tape sensor 130 which is attached in a strip shape to a rear edge forming a retraction side of the lifting platform 30 in the vehicle body, and conducted when being pressed.
