PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a sheet from skewing in a printer apparatus which performs printing to the sheet for printing wound in a roll. SOLUTION: A conveying means is comprised of a pinch roller 12 equipped with a grid roller 11 and an UP/DOWN mechanism, and a plurality of conveyance rollers 9 and pinch rollers 12 arranged downstream of the grid roller. The printer apparatus is equipped with a control means which sends out the printing sheet S in a state while elastic contact of the pinch roller to the grid roller is released, brings the pinch roller into elastic contact with the grid roller after sending out the printing sheet by a length according to printing region length data, and carries out printing while drawing back the printing sheet. Printing is carried out by drawing back the sheet from a state in which the sheet is moved straight, and therefore there is no risk of skewing of the sheet to cause deformation and sheet jamming.
