PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve image quality and to prevent a medium or the inside of the image forming apparatus from being soiled. SOLUTION: The image forming unit includes: a housing; a rotating slider disposed freely rotated in the housing; and a band-like sealing member 39 attached to the housing along the rotating slider so that its leading end is in contact with the rotating slider. The part forming the leading edge of the sealing member 39 is formed such that the middle in the axial direction of the rotating slider projects beyond the ends toward the rotating slider; this prevents the pressing force of the sealing member 39 near the middle in the axial direction of the rotating slider from becoming smaller than the pressing forces applied at both the ends. Accordingly, the pressing force can be made substantially uniform in the axial direction of the rotating slider. This prevents formation of a gap in the middle in the axial direction of the rotating slider and hence prevents developer from scattering. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
