A light emitting device, a display using the same, a driving method of the light emitting device, and a driving method of the display are provided to control luminance of a pixel having a black gray scale among plural backlight unit pixels so as to be luminance corresponding to the black gray scale, thereby preventing a blur of an image displayed in correspondence with the backlight unit pixel having the black gray scale. A backlight unit(40) comprises plural scan lines, plural column lines and plural backlight unit pixels. The backlight unit determines plural gray scales corresponding to each of the plural backlight unit pixels, and detects a first backlight unit pixel having the same value as a black gray scale of the plural gray scales. If a luminance value between plural first gray scales corresponding to each of plural second backlight unit pixels located in a boundary of the first backlight unit pixels and a black gray scale of the first backlight unit pixel is bigger than a threshold luminance value, the backlight unit performs a control operation so as to emit light at luminance corresponding to the black gray scale. |
