<p>The fluid energy machine (20) has a circular housing (22) with a fluid inlet (26) and a fluid outlet (28). A circular rotating body is coaxially arranged and pivoted in interior of the housing. The radial external diameter of the rotating body is smaller than the radial internal diameter of the housing so that a gap (30) is produced between the radial external diameter of the rotating body (24) and the radial internal diameter of the housing. A latch is provided, which seals the gap between the fluid inlet and the fluid outlet for the fluid.</p>
