PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-contact scanner apparatus which improves a recognition/right read rate by preventing an image used for optical character recognition (OCR) processing from being distorted or shaded. SOLUTION: A non-contact scanner apparatus 1 comprises a platen 3 for placing a form thereon and a camera unit 2 for photographing the form placed on the platen 3. In such a non-contact scanner apparatus 1, the platen 3 comprises a placing mat 7 of a rectangular parallelepiped shape for placing the form thereon and a guide mat 8 including guide surfaces 9a, 9b for guiding two sides constituting one corner of the form placed on the placing mat. Furthermore, a transparent presser plate 10 is provided which presses upper surfaces of the guide mat 8 and the placing mat 7, a height of the guide mat 8 is set higher than that of the placing mat 7, and two surfaces constituting one corner of the placing mat 7 are abutted to the guide surfaces 9a, 9b and disposed.
