<p>A method and an apparatus for improving the data transmission efficiency of a radio resource control process in a wireless communication system are provided to improve a data transmission speed and lower a signaling transmission delay. A radio resource control update process is activated(302). A radio resource control update message corresponding to the radio resource control update process is transmitted to a network terminal(304). After the radio resource control update message is transmitted to the network terminal, a serving cell is re-selected(306). When the serving cell supports a high speed downlink function in a forward access state(CELL_FACH), the high speed downlink function is executed by using common H-RNTI(HS-DSCH Radio Network Transaction Identifier)(308,310). If there is a dedicated H-RNTI, the dedicated H-RNTI is deleted in re-selecting the serving cell.</p> |
