PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold and fix the rear edge of a helical coil and surely cutt off and bind the edges of the coil when the end of the helical coil is processed. SOLUTION: This paper processing device includes a cutting and bending mechanism 75, which is mounted to the predetermined position of the device and cuts off the edges of the helical coil 11 of a bound paper bundle, and the cutting and bending mechanism 75 includes a pinching pad part 75a and a pinch accepting part 75b pinching the edge of the helical coil 11, a cutter 75c for cutting the helical coil 11 pinched between the pinching pad part 75a and the pinch accepting part 75b off at its predetermined position and a binding part 75e, which is provided in the extended part of the cutter 75c and bends the edge of the helical coil 11 cut-off with the cutter 75c towards the predetermined direction. Due to the constitution, the sure cutting-off and bending processing of the edge of the helical coil 11 can be realized under the state that the edge of the helical coil 11 is held and fixed.
