<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter provided with a temperature detector that is excellent in detection accuracy of a cooling medium temperature. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter 1 is provided with a semiconductor module 2, which has a built-in semiconductor device, and a cooler 3 for cooling the semiconductor module 2. The cooler 3 is configured by internally providing a cooling medium flow path for circulating a cooling medium W. A temperature detector 4 for detecting a temperature of the cooling medium W is mounted to a metal plate 5 in face contact with a part of the cooler 3.
