<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily upgrade a system without requiring a user to perform the operation of re-registering biological information even if a device for sampling biological information, a method for sampling biological information, or biological feature data to be used during collation is changed. <P>SOLUTION: This biological information input device comprises a fingerprint input part 22 having the function of sampling fingerprint images; a biological information converting part 234 for converting the fingerprint image sampled by the fingerprint input part 22 into image data having predetermined resolutions in vertical and horizontal directions, predetermined vertical and horizontal image sizes, and a predetermined light-and-dark relationship between ridge lines and valley lines; and an input/output control part 23 for inputting the image data converted by the biological information converting part 234 to an authentication device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
