PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling tower preventing the breeding of bacteria such as legionella bacteria and algae in a drop-in water tank provided in a lower part of the cooling tower. SOLUTION: The cooling tower which is a device for obtaining the circulating cooling water for cooling a cooling device provided in a building, is composed of at least a sprinkling part, an eliminator part, a fan part, a space part, the drop-in water tank, and a cover for the eliminator part. The cover for the eliminator part is provided inclining so that the eliminator part is not directly exposed to sunlight and wind. If the eliminator is not exposed to sunlight, there is no breeding of legionella bacteria in sprinkled water, and sticking of algae to the eliminator part is prevented. Since the cover for the eliminator part does not have a part with extremely little exposure to the wind, there is no breeding of legionella bacteria and algae. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
