Glucocorticoid enhancement of gene expression

摘要

The application provides a method of increasing the cellular expression of a gene in a biological tissue after delivery of the gene to an animal, by administering to the animal a pharmacologically effective dose of a glucocorticoid in an amount sufficient to increase the cellular expression of the gene. Also provided is a method of treating a pathophysiological state in an animal by increasing cellular expression of a gene after delivery of the gene into a biological tissue of an animal, by administering to the animal a pharmacologically effective dose of a glucocorticoid in a amount sufficient to increase the cellular expression of the gene.
