<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color liquid crystal display device free from display irregularity and high in display quality. <P>SOLUTION: Level difference and variation is prevented by connecting frame light-shielding layers adjacent to each other on a color filter substrate or by forming a level correction layer 9 or a color layer between adjacent frame light-shielding layers 2. Since the level difference between frame light-shielding layers adjacent to each other in a horizontal or lateral direction is prevented, the cell gap is made uniform in the frame rim portion which functions as a sealing portion and in a display screen, and thereby a color liquid crystal display device showing uniform color tone and contrast within the display screen is provided. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
