PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting system for an eaves gutter which is housed with favorable appearance in a space between the back wall of the eaves gutter and a fascia board fitted with an eaves gutter supporting implement, and which lights a lower area of an eaves edge. SOLUTION: This lighting system A for the eaves gutter is provided with a lighting fixture body 1 which comprises an approximately L-shaped cross-section illuminating lamp storage portion 11, and a transparent cover 12 for covering the storage portion 11. A latching portion 2 is protrusively formed on the upper portion of the storage portion 11. The lighting fixture body 1 is formed in an upward tapered shape; the bottom surface 112 of the storage portion 11 is composed of a transparent member which allows the transmission of light from an illuminating lamp 5; the latch portion 2 has a hook 21; and the hook 21 is formed in such a shape as to be detachably latched to the back edge 71 of the eaves gutter 7.
