<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a parameter setting device of a motor control unit, with which an item of a machine is inputted, the capacity of the motor control unit, which is required for using the motor control unit, is selected, a load inertia moment is calculated, and a parameter on the load inertia moment affecting performance of the motor control unit or load mass can efficiently be corrected and set by using the load inertia moment. <P>SOLUTION: The parameter setting device includes a load inertia moment operating part 6, a storage part 7, a load inertia moment reading part 8 and a correction value setting part 18.
