PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting insert, a throwaway drill and a cutting method using these, superior in chipping resistance of a cutting edge. SOLUTION: In this cutting insert 10, the cutting edge 3 has an inner cutting edge part 4 and an outer cutting edge part 5 adjacent to the inner cutting edge part 4, and the inner cutting edge part 4 has: an upper surface view bending point 6a bending in a projecting shape in an upper surface view; a high position corner part 4a on one end side in a side surface view; a straight line-shaped cutting edge part 4b of the substantially same height as the high position corner part 4a; a low position corner part 4c being a lower position in the thickness direction than the high position corner part 4a on the other end side; and also an inclined cutting edge part 4d inclined toward the low position corner part 4c via a side surface view bending point 8a from the straight line-shaped cutting edge part 4b. The upper surface view bending point 6a and the side surface view bending point 8a are arranged so as not to overlap each other. The throwaway drill is provided with this cutting insert 10, and the cutting method cuts a machinable material by using this throwaway type drill. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
