PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire dot recorder which can perform stable dot printing without causing a chart to be pierced or a platen to wear when less variable measurement data is recorded for many hours. SOLUTION: The wire dot recorder is structured so as to perform dot printing recording of the values of measurement data of every measurement channel by moving a carriage with a plurality of wire dot units corresponding to a plurality of measurement channels in the direction intersecting the delivery direction of a chart at right angles and selectively driving the wire dot units at points where the carriage arrives at a recording position and has a computation section comparing printing data in the past with current printing data and judging whether or not dot printing is to be implemented on the basis of a chart delivery speed.
