The electric device for self-protection can find application as a safety means in public order protection, in the detention of law abusers and when there is a need for controlling extremely dangerous and aggressive persons. It has simplified and functional design which is easily manned and serviced. The design allows the adjustment of the length of the jet, as well as of the electrical potential contained in it. The self-protection device comprises a casing (1) wherein power cylinders (3) with electrical conductive liquid (5) are found, and in its front part there are metal nozzles (2) connected to cylinders (3) by means of hoses (6). In casing (1), an electric generator (10) is also envisaged, the step-up coil (11) of which is galvanic-connected to the metal nozzles (2).
