A show case is provided to simplify the structure of shelves by excluding lighting tools, sockets or wires by emitting the light of an LED(Light Emitting Diode) lamp through a light emitting surface of a light guide plate installed opposite to the shelf. A show case for forming a show room in the insulating wall and displaying articles on shelves(32) of multiple stages installed in the show room while cooling down the articles is composed of an LED lamp lighting up the inside of the show room from the upper part and light guide plates(48) installed at the undersides of each shelf. A light incident part(49) of the light guide plate is protruded toward the front side further than the shelf. A light emitting surface(52) of the light guide plate faces the shelf disposed under the shelf equipped with the light guide plate.
