A synchronizer for a manual transmission using an elastic member is provided to reduce the number of parts by forming an elastic member serving as a synchronizer key and a spring. A synchronizer for a manual transmission using an elastic member comprises a hub(1) coupled to a spline of a main shaft, a sleeve(3) coupled to an outer circumferential surface of the hub, a shift gear(5) mounted on the main shaft, a clutch gear(7) integrally formed with the shift gear and having a cone(7-1), a synchronizer ring(9) disposed at an outer surface of the cone, and an elastic member(11). The elastic member is provided in a ring shape having a cutting part. A lower part of the elastic member is coupled to the synchronizer ring through the cutting part. An upper part of the elastic member is closely adhered to the sleeve.
